Staying in the Maritime’s Provinces… The Hopewell Rocks

Français

Curious rock formations, the flowerpot-shaped structures are impressive at high tide but imagine when “100-billion tonnes” of salt-water slowly leave (in 6 hours) the Bay of Fundy, in New Brunswick. You’ll discover that you may walk on the beach almost 50 ft below! Make sure to consult the Tide tables though… during my visit, locals told me that the speed of the rising tide may be compared to a galloping horse!!!

It worth a visit because until then “tides continue to sculpt the flowerpots of the future”. You can see also a panoramic tour of the beach on the same Touring website dedicated to the Hopewell Rocks.
